Comparison Of Harrison Hargeron And By The Waters Of Babylon

Harrison Bergeron vs By the Waters of Babylon Have you ever thought about what kind of technology we will have in the future? Or have you thought about how technology will affect us in the future? In the story â€Å"Harrison Bergeron† by Kurt Vonnegut and the story â€Å"By the Waters of Babylon† by Stephen Vincent Benet both the futures with technology look pretty awful. In â€Å"Harrison Bergeron† anyone with special gifts or talents are forced to wear a handicap to make them like everyone else in society. In â€Å"By the Waters of Babylon† tells a story about how our technology is so advanced that if we went to war we would destroy everything we have and we would have to basically restart. I would live in this world because I would rather be just like everyone else around me then be left out from other people because we were not alike. An other reason I would want to live in the world of â€Å"Harrison Bergeron† rather than in the world of â€Å"By the Waters of Babylon† is because the people in â€Å"Harrison Bergeron† actually get along and roll with the punches unlike the people in â€Å"By the Waters of Babylon†. In â€Å"By the
